One of the Japanese promos calls it "Da Vinci Code meets Jurassic Park".
I think that sums it up pretty nicely. It's got dinosaurs, spies, intrigue, action, and conspiracy, all rendered in lovely film noir-esque art with a little fan service cherry on top (Lily!).
And for the slightly geeky, it's got cool (and sometimes obscure) references to art, literature, film, history, science... you name it. Definitely a manga for adults!

doch das zählt schon, wenn PM sich die Mangarechte sichert und sobald die Rechte für den Anime für Europa frei sind von PV die Animerechte gesichert werden
das wäre mal ziemlich GEIL und würde sicher HIT Verdächtig werden (wie z.B. OP, Naruto, ... usw.)
der Anime wird nämlich im Gegensatz zu OP, Naruto oder Bleach kein endlos Shonenserie.

One Piece läuft deswegen so gut, weil es ne TV Serie hat. Generell lässt sich sagen, daß alles, was im TV läuft abgeht wie Schmidts Katze.
Einige wenige gute Serien aus dem Shonen Bereich verkaufen sich auch so gut, aber eine TV-Ausstrahlung boostet die Verkaufszahlen enorm.

In any game, you will constantly ask how he's planning to win, why he's really doing certain things, and what's really going on. At the end of the matches, the tricks are revealed, and they all work in real life, even if they do require one to be highly skilled or lucky in order to perform them.
The story centers around the various matches he undertakes and the interactions between the various characters, like Mika Shishidou, the beautiful granddaughter of the school headmaster, who is highly intelligent but contemptuous and superb, or Abidani, the vampiric looking dorm superintendent and main villain (for now) in the series, who has a sadistic personality and whose goal is to make Tom leave his school (or to get him killed).
As the story unfolds, more about Tom's past is revealed, leading to unpredictable turns of events.

The main character of the series is Jigorou Ishikawa, the second of three brothers. Jigorou is a homely, fat, dirty-minded guy and frankly, a loser compared to his brothers. The elder brother Kusuo is the local 'Service Area King'--a cool and good-looking young man who gets all the girls, while the youngest brother Isao already has stalkers even though he's still young.

The story begins in the first volume with how Jigorou 'borrows' Kusuo's Cadillac so he can impress some girls by pretending that he's the 'Service Area King'. But since he's an utter twit, he ends up crashing the car. To make it short, Kusuo arrives and beats the crap out of his younger brother, who is saved only when Isao intervenes.

Later at his part-time job, Jigorou then somehow gets himself stuck in a mess when he agrees to challenge Hideki 'Guillotine' Okada in a little driving duel. He rushes off to buy a car for the duel with his savings, but finds that out of 500,000 yen, he's only got 50,000 yen left in his account after having to pay for the repairs to Kusuo's car. As expected, the poor boy spazzes and Kusuo takes pity on him and takes him to a junkyard, where Jigorou ends up buying a S13 Silvia.

Thanks to the new car, Jigorou ends up impressing everyone at the duel with his 'super playboy technique' drifting, including one very pretty Chinatsu Honda.

Am 10. August 2010 fällt das Königreich Britannia in Japan ein. Ein
furchtbarer Krieg beginnt, den Japan auf Grund der von Britannia
entwickelten Mechas, den Nightmare Flames, verliert. Japan wurde Teil
des Reiches Britannias und verlor seine Freiheit und Rechte und bekam
einen neuen Namen, Area 11. Weil Lelouch, der Sohn des Königs Charles
zi Britannia, mit ansehen musste, wie seine Mutter Marianne vi
Britannia vor seinen Augen von Terroristen getötet wurde und sein Vater
nichts dagegen unternahm, schwor er aus Rache das Königreich Britannia
zu zerstören.
7 Jahre nach dem Krieg lebt Lelouch Lamperouge in Area 11 und geht dort
zur Schule. Eines Tages sieht er, wie ein von Nightmare Flames
verfolgter Laster in eine Mauer kracht. Durch unglückliche
Zwischenfälle fällt er in den Laster und als er sich in einem
unterirdischen Gewölbe wiederfindet, entsteigt plötzlich ein Mädchen
aus einem auf dem Laster befindlichen Behälter. Lelouch flieht mit dem
Mädchen durch die Kanalisation, wird aber am Ausgang von den Truppen
Britannias gefasst. Als man ihn wegen Terrorismus erschießen will,
bietet das Mädchen ihm an, einen Vertrag mit ihr einzugehen, der ihm
die Macht verleiht, lebend aus dieser Situation zu entkommen. Ohne zu
zögern willigt Lelouch ein.
Nun hat Lelouch alles, was er braucht, um Britannia zu zerstören und
somit beginnt er seinen Feldzug zur Vernichtung des Königreiches
Britannia.

Es gibt zu Code Geass mehrere Manga, die sich alle von der Story des Animes unterscheiden.
